Hero Selection / Hero anim intro
I'm Solomon, and I'm here to win.
I'll make sure this isn't the end of New York.
If I don't make my move, this town is in trouble.
I'm going to be a thorn in the patron's side.
My tactics will keep them guessing.
We have to be smart, focused and deliberate.
You won't get me to concede.
They don't know who they're playing against.
The odds are in my favor.
I've been across the table from worse.
I won't let the people of New York be harmed.
Don't worry, I'm a good team player too.
They don't know it, but they've already lost.
Better I do this than the dregs of New York.
I'll break the curse that chokes this city.
The patrons aren't doing this for us.
I'll help us stay the course.
I'll rise to this occasion.
I can't sit on the sidelines for this.
How does it feel to be outmatched?
Should we put a little money on this?
Let's take 'em for everything they got.
They'll regret underestimating me.
I know what I have to do.
It's time to end this.
Hero Selection / Select
I was hoping that I could sit back and enjoy my day, but it looks like the Patrons are gonna need some adult supervision.
Too many people would abuse the Patron's gift, I can't let that power fall into the wrong hands.
Those with real strength don't need to show it.
I don't take this decision lightly
I'm ready to do what needs to be done
Winning always comes with sacrifice… and I'm ready to make mine
I've been patient… it's time to make my move
Time to show the children how it's done
I have to be the one to do this.
I'm always 3 moves ahead
Hero Selection / Unselect
If I solve all their problems for them, the kids are never gonna learn. No, I think I'm gonna sit this one out.
Look, I'd step in if it was gonna be cataclysmic. But this? Man, worst case scenario, this is a minor calamity.
I got more important things to do than mess with The Patrons
Sorry, I have an old friend coming in from The Soviet Empire and I'd hate to keep them waiting.
You can complete with the ritual without me… I have more concerning things to deal with
The kids can handle this themselves
Don't worry, I'm watching. I'm just not stepping in unless it's important
I'm not interested in making a grab for power
If this is the end, I want to spend it in Central Park. It it's not the end, I'd rather be spending my time in Central Park
I have nothing to prove to anybody
Upgrade Power / Upgrade power1
Now the rook, the rook likes to strike fast
Now's not the time to be timid
The Rook strikes decisively
The rook can catch them off guard
Never be afraid to deploy your rook
It's easy for a rook to disorient the enemy
The rook moves strong and sure
The rook is devastating when they don't see it coming
This piece will carve through their army
Once you get a handle on how it moves, the Knight is an essential piece
Upgrade Power / Upgrade power2
The rook is reliable dollars. You know what it's gonna do, you know it's gonna deliver, and anyone with half a brain knows you can't leave the rook alone.
I will offer my allies safe haven
Everyone deserves protection
If you control the pace of battle, you control the outcome
It's ok to play defensively
Sometimes aggression is not the path to victory
I like to wait for my opponent to make a mistake
We'll survive whatever they throw at us
We're gonna fight, but we're gonna fight smart
I look after my friends
Upgrade Power / Upgrade power3
See the bishop, the bishop's a subtle piece.
The bishop can do work if you let him.
I'll come at the problem from all kinds of angles
This should keep them on their toes
Might be time to call on the bishop.
I don’t just throw out turrets like McGinnis, I'm thoughtful in setting up my defense.
You can always count on the bishop to get shit done.
The bishop works in harmony with the other pieces. It's all about using him to create opportunity.
They're gonna sleep on the bishop? They're gonna get their ass kicked.
I'll set a trap for them.
Upgrade Power / Upgrade power4
Doesn't matter if you're talking about a chess piece, your girlfriend, your wife, your daughter, you always protect the queen.
Alright, let's put the pressure on em.
No one better disrespect the queen.
Alright your majesty, I'm counting on you.
The queen's gonna make her presence known
Soon the queen will arrive
No one stands against the queen
I got a few tricks up my sleeve
The queen never lets me down
I'm ready to make some big moves
